Carley turns NINE months

On June 25th 2009 Carley turned 9 months old. She has really changed soo much in her 9 months. She has grown up so fast, I can't believe how fast it's gone by!!! She had her 9 month checkup on Friday July 3. Dr. C can't get enough of her....he loves her to death!!! She weighed in at 21 lbs. 4 oz(75-90%). Her height was 27 3/4 inches(50-75%). She is growing at the same rate that she has been since she was born, so everything is going great for her. Carley's accomplishments since 6 months include:

crawling(8months old)

feeding herself crackers, puffs, etc

saying Da-Da

saying Ma-Ma

saying Bye-Bye

waving Bye-Bye

pulling up on EVERYTHING( 8 months, 1 week old)

cruising on furniture

clapping

playing pat-a-cake

playing peek-a-boo

can go from laying down to sitting up

hold her own sippy cup for drink

shake her head NO when being asked questions(for fun--doesn't understand what she is saying)

Some fun facts about Carley include: she's a little pool fish...she loves swimming in the pool, we go almost everyday; she loves playing with her big sister and her big sister's fun toys(big sis not so sure of this though); she is an eating machine--she will literally eat everything in site if we would let her; she has FIVE teeth already-- 2 on top , 3 on bottom; she loves our dogs--everytime she sees them she gets so excited and starts yelling(she says AHHH); anytime someone is going somewhere she is right behind them, she follows us everywhere we go; she cries when someone goes out the door if she doesn't get to go; she LOVES to be OUTSIDE; she also loves popsicles(she gets mostly sugar free for now)

There is only one thing we wish she didn't do--- GRIND her teeth---she just started doing this yesterday!! Her sister did it too---we got through it, but it just hurts to hear her do that!!!

THREE YEAR PICTURES

I took Tegan's 3 year old pictures today. She did so great and cooperated so well(not very common for her at picture time). She is getting so big and looks so grown up and is looking more and more like her daddy!!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday!!!

Tegan turned three on Saturday, June 6. We had a really fun party and day for her. She had lots of cousins and friends who came to help her celebrate. We had a Little Mermaid/Under the Sea party. We played some games and did a pinata...the kids really had a great time. The biggest hit though was one of the presents my(morgan's) parents got for her. The bought one of those bouncy rooms that has a slide on one side...the kids had a blast in it. All the parents seemed very grateful for the bouncy room because it wore all their kids out, so they all slept very well last night. Thanks to all who came and helped make the party a success for Tegan. Thanks to Nana & Papa for letting us have her party at their house, and thanks to all who drove from so far to attend the party, we really appreciate it.

To Tegan: We are so grateful for you, our sweet girl. You have made these last 3 years so much fun for us. You have taught us so much. You are an example to us and to your baby sister, Carley. She looks up to you so much and watches everything you do. You are such a sweet daughter and we are so blessed to be your parents and to be able to raise you. We love you dearly and are so happy to have you in our family.

Braves

We've been able to attend a few Braves games this year so far. We've had a great time at each game. Our seats are GREAT!!! We're glad we're so close and we can just take off and go without any plans if we wanted to. We enjoy going to sporting events as a family, and the girls really have a good time. We hope our Braves have a good year this year. We root them on every game and hope for a win each time. Some we win , some we lose. You can't win them all I guess. EIGHT MONTHS

Carley is 8 months old now. She is such a good baby and is so sweet. She loves her big sister andgrins from ear to ear everytime she sees her. She sleeps at least 12 hours a night(since 4 months). She LOVES her solid foods(can't you tell from the fat rolls?). She says Da-Da, Ma-Ma,and Ba-Ba(bye-bye). She plays pat-a-cake and peek-a-boo. She can go from laying down to sitting up like a champ. She LOVES to jump and bounce especially in her little bouncersaucer toy, she gets so excited. She's been trying to crawl since 6.5 months and finally on her 8 month birthday she took off across the floor, now we can't stop her, she's into everything. Tegan loves being able to play with her, but isn't too fond on sharing all her toys yet(something we're still working on--and will probably always be working on). She is our sweet girl and we love her so much!!

Read to Me Daddy

Tegan is such a sweet, spiritual daughter. We were just sitting around watching TV tonight and she walked into the living room with Terrel's scriptures in her hands and said,"Read to me Daddy". It was so sweet how she said it. It's so neat to see things your children have learned from watching what you do. It's just another reminder, that they truly are watching you and learning from you with every move you make.
