Holiday Happenings 2010

This holiday season was filled with lots of fun times with family and friends. We were able to do many fun activities together. Our holiday started by going Christmas shopping on the day after Thanksgiving...this is an annual tradition that my mom(Morgan's) and I do...we've been doing it for YEARS!!! We always have soo much fun...some years we wake up and get to the stores by midnight, but this year we waited to go at 3 am. We had a fun filled day full of great finds and lots of yummy treats to eat during the day.

The next fun holiday activity we did was go to our local community parade. It was so much fun, even though it rained and was really cold. Tegan and Carley loved watching all the floats go by and getting all kinds of candy. The local schools' bands marched and played in the parade as well. After the parade was finished everyone went to our downtown park where they did the Christmas Tree lighting and Santa visits.

Another fun event we were able to go to was Stone Mountain Christmas. This was a really neat event and we enjoyed all the beautiful lights, train ride, and all the entertainment. Stone Mountain is a very fun place and we hope to be able to go back really soon!!!

The most fun of all though was waiting for almost an hour to sit in Santa's lap at the mall.... haha.... no really it was FUN the girls LOVE getting to see him and telling them what they wanted for Christmas.

Our Holiday season leading up to Christmas Day was full of memories that will last forever. We're so thankful that we are able to do fun things together as a family and enjoy being together. What a wonderful time of year it is to be with our loved ones.

Georgia Bulldogs 2010

This year we decided to buy season tickets to Georgia Bulldogs. We were so excited to get them at such a great price. My mom and dad went in on them with us...we got two and they got 2. We've had a GREAT time so far being at the stadium on gamedays and enjoying all the gameday activities. Our Bulldogs have not had the best season so far...so we've been a little upset with them...but oh well it's only a game. The first game we went to was vs. Louisiana-Lafayette on 9/4/10. My dad couldn't go to that game so just my little famiyl was able to go....Terrel, Tegan, Carley and me. We had a GREAT time being there and the girls absolutely LOVED it!! The next home game was vs. Arkansas--- Terrel adn I went and my dad and my brother Bryce got to go to this one...my mom opts to stay home with my girls :)--- the teams went back and forth all day long and finally Georgia got ahead at the end of the game but then at the last minute Arkansas scored and ended up winning the game...it was a sad day in BullDAWG nation...but again it's just a game someone is going to win and someone is going to lose--we just wish we would have won!!! Going into the next game Georgia's record was 1-4...This past Saturday 10/9/10...Terrel, my dad, Tegan, and I headed over to Athens ready to WIN!!! We played UT(Tennessee). Our DAWGS blew them away--they played soooo awesome...had some great touchdowns...great Defense, the day was just awesome!!! WE WON 41-14. Tegan thoroughly enjoys herself at the games--eventhough she gets tired and falls asleep for at least a quarter (hehe). She knows ALL the chants and songs and loves to watch the Cheerleaders jump, flip, and shout...but her most favorite is getting to see Hairy Dawg and UGA!!! We're so proud of our DAWGS and hope they have a great rest of the season!!! Pictures from ALL our GAMES:

Braves game 10-1-10

We were able to go to one of the last Braves regular season games and one of Manager Bobby Cox's last regular season games. It was a really fun time. Terrel took one of his customer's and his wife so it was fun to be with new people and get to know them :) The Braves did't play all that well...they got beat oh well...they still made it to the playoffs :)We love the Braves and are rooting them all the way to the World Series---I hope they make it. Go Braves!!!

Carley Turns TWO!!!

September 25, 2010= 2 year old CARLEY!!! We had a GREAT day. Her party turned out really cute. Thank you SOOOOO much Mom & Dad for coming to her party. We loved spending time with y'all on her special day. Zebra was the theme and everything turned out really really cute. I was very impressed with myself ;) We had a very relaxed, yet fun day. We woke up, ate breakfast, got dressed for the BIG day, had her party, went to eat at Jersey's Grill here in Woodstock, then came back and the girl's took a nap. Then after they woke up, they played, played, played with all Carley's new toys. We are so blessed to have our sweet Carley in our lives. She is a joy to be around and is always happy. She is a special little girl and we love her so much.

Preschool

August 17,2010 was the start of a new journey in our life. Our sweet 4 year old, Tegan, started preschool. She's been soooo ready to go to school. She's so smart and wants to learn and enjoys learning and making new friends.WE put her in at a local church about a mile from our house. It's a very good program with some great teachers and staff. I am so happy for her that she is having such a good exzperience thus far. I know she will have a great year and will be ready for Kindergarten when the time comes next year. Where has all the time gone??? It just seems like yesterday I was in the hospital, in labor for over 15 hours before seeing the face of my sweet first born-- and now she's all grown up and going to school. I am so glad and blessed to be a stay at home mom to my girls so I can enjoy every little moment with them and not miss all their milestones.

1st Ballet Recital

On May 29, 2010, Tegan had her 1st EVER ballet recital!!! It was such a memorable experience for her and us. Her class danced to "Every Girl Can Be a Princess". Tegan did a great job, she knew exactly what to do and when to do it. We are so proud of you Tegan!

1st of MANY Daddy/Daughter Dates

Terrel got to take Tegan on her very 1st Daddy /Daughter date. He promised her that if she did a really good job through her surgery and all that just she and he would go to the Braves game. They went on Friday, May 15 and watched the Braves take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. They got there kind of early to watch some batting practice and throwing and every once in a whil eone of the players would throw a ball in to the stands for teh fans, and Tegan kept saying to her Daddy that she wanted a ball(**Remember this for later in the post**). They sat down the first base line into right field about 3 rows from the field, so they had pretty good seats. Terrel said Tegan was great, she behaved so well and just had a blast and never got bored. To add to this exciting date, Terrel caught a foul ball and was on TV as he was handing it to Tegan--- what a priceless evening in my opinion.Once Terrel caught the ball and handed it to Tegan , Tegan said to her Daddy-- WE DID IT!!! They gave us ball!!! (She thought the players finally through a ball to her). The evening went on and the Braves went on to win after some very exciting basbeall activity with scoring runs and homeruns, etc. On Fridays at the Braves home games they have Friday Night Fireworks...so of course they had to stay at watch those-- and Tegan was in heaven...she absolutely loved the fireworks. They got home after midnight and my little miss Tegan was still WIDE awake when they got home--- she was so excited to tell me all about the game. I am so glad that she and her daddy were able to spend some special time with just the two of them. What a great father my girls have. I am so grateful for him and the time he wants to spend with our girls.

I read on a few people's blogs about why they chose their child's name. I didn't do the link up that some of the other's did, but it's always fun to talk about baby names.... **NO WE ARE NOT PREGNANT**

Our first bundle of joy came to us in June of 2006. We chose the name Tegan from my name and Terrel's name. We took the TE from his name and the GAN from my name and formed Tegan. We had never heard the name when we decided to name her that, but then I started to hear it more and more. It's still not too popular of a name, but every now and then someone will say, ohhh my niece or grandaughter is named that....usually the spelling is different but again every once in a while the spelling will be the same. Her middle name is Brook, which is my middle name also. We never had any other names picked out for her...this was the one. If she was going to be a boy...I liked Jackson, Parker, & Landon

Carley was born in September 2008. We decided on her name one day while I was looking in the baby name book and found it.... I would sit at home with Tegan and look through the baby name book then email Terrel at work with the names I found that I like...he always said NO for every name I would pick out and would have some crazy reason...but then one day he was looking back at some names and said what about Carley and I told him I had picked that name several weeks ago and emailed you about it and you had said No.... but we decided together that we liked Carley. Her midddle name is Jordan after my great-grandmother...it was her last name. Other names I liked when I was pregnant with Carley were--- Avery, McKay, Conner, and Braelynn--- I know there are more but these are just a few.

We're so grateful for our two little girls that we have and hope to one day have at least one other little one join our family.

Snow Days

We have had a very COLD and snowy winter this year in the Atlanta area. It has been very pretty to see, but after a day of seeing it we're glad it goes away!!! Tegan & Carley aren't quite sure what to think about the snow....they're not big fans of it b/c it is so cold and wet. We had one snowfall that was the 'GOOD' snow, nice and fluffy.... they got out and played in it then, but I have no pictures because they were at my(Morgan's) parents house that night to spend the night. It has snowed several times this year and here are some pictures from our winter wonderland :)

The Terrel Hood Family...est. 9/6/2003

A friend of mine posted on her blog how she and her husband met, fell in love, and got married. I thought this was a really good idea because my posterity will one day read these blog entries. So here it goes....
It all started when Terrel and my brother, Bryce, became mission companions in the Utah Salt Lake City South mission. They became good friends and have remained friends ever since. Terrel and I wrote a couple letters.... I was still a giddy teenager just loving getting letters from missionaries. I saw a few pictures of him that were sent to our house and I thought he was HOTT! I met Terrel once at a members house in Utah when my family went out to pick Bryce up from his mission. Bryce came home from his mission in August 2002, then it was time for Terrel to come home in October 2002. Some friends from Utah, Rachel and Jo, wanted to come to the south to visit when Terrel came home. They flew into Birmingham, AL where my family was living at the time and stayed with us for a few days then Bryce, Rachel, Jo and I jumped in the car one day and headed to Waycross, GA...where Terrel lived. We got there, and all his friends and family were there and we all just hung out and had a fun time for the weekend. There was some flirting going on but nothing major...again I am only 18 at the time. We got in the car to head home on a Sunday afternoon(actually it was Nov 10--my bday) and there was a bad storm that came while we were traveling home... so Terrel decided to call to make sure we got home alright, and we pretty much started our lives together after that phone call. We started calling each other every day talking for hours. We met in Macon over Thanksgiving at my Nanny & Papa's house and hung out over the weekend. He surprised me a few weeks later and came to Birmingham to visit. We started visiting as often as we could...every few weekends. Then it was getting harder and harder to leave each other everytime we had to say goodbye on Sunday afternoons....so Easter time came and he sent me on an Easter egg hunt(the sunday after easter) and that's how he proposed to me. I was soooo SURPRISED!!! I of course accepted and we were engaged for just over 4 months. After we got engaged we didn't go any weekend without seeing each other. We took turns driving back and forth between birmingham and waycross(6 hour drive) every weekend. Some weekends we met in Macon, but we mostly met in Bham or Wayx. On Sept. 6 2003 we were married in the Atlanta Georgia Temple for time and all eternity.

Accident Prone?

Our poor little Carley has had sooo many accidents this week. It started off on Tuesday when we were at a friend's house for playgroup. She kept climbing up and down the stairs, I got her off the stairs probably 20-30 times(it feels like). We were all just sitting around talking and we here a loud boom/crash whatever the sound was of her falling followed by my sweet baby screaming. I jumped up faster than I ever have to go get her. She had fallen pretty far, I think. She was ok though, no concussion or anything like that, just a tiny bruise on her cheek, a scratch across her upper lip, and a little bit of a bloddy nose, and a small carpet burn. The next accident came last night when she and Tegan were playing in the recliner(oh I forgot to add, carley can now climb up into the recliner). They were playing in the chair just having fun then we hear the noise of a loud bump into something and she had fallen on the chair arm towards our fireplace mantle(the side of it) and hit her face on it and scratched her little nose up. Her poor face this week has taken a beating, bless her heart. The final accident to date this week was this morning. I was taking a bath and she walked into the bathroom with me like she does every morning and she tripped over her blankey and fell. During her fall, she bit the side of her mouth causing a gushing of blood to come out of her mouth. Luckily, that fall didn't cause as much crying as the others, and her mouth is already better. I hope she doesn't have these accidents next week!!!!!

Atlanta Hawks

Terrel & I were able to go to an Atlanta Hawks game on Wednesday, Jan 13 with Bryce and his friend Chad. Mom watched the girls so we were able to go and actually get to watch the game and not have to chase little ones up and down the stairs. Thanks MOM!!! We had a great time. Our seats were great, they were 4 rows from the court. we were basically right behind the Hawks bench. The Hawks were able to pull off a win, but not without struggle. They played the Washington Wizards, so apparently they should have beat them by a lot, but they didn't. It was a fun night, and we hope to go back soon!!!

Snow Jan 2010

January 7 2010~ here comes the SNOW!!!! It started out with just some flurries....then came more and more and the flakes got bigger and bigger....and then finally it started to accumulate!!!! We only got about an inch I guess maybe a litte more. It was really pretty though!!! Well, the temperatures stayed below freezing like that had been for several days before, so the roads got iced over during the night. There were tragic wrecks, people iced in, and the roads were very slippery. We're thankful we were safe and had a nice warm house and warm water and food...unlike 1000's of people out there. Tegan and Carley went outside when the snow started falling, but once it stuck, Tegan did not want to go back out there because it was "brrrr.....it cold outside!!!"(as Tegan would say). Terrel went on to work, but went later in the day. He said the Interstates were fine, but some of the side roads were completely covered in ice. Thankful he was able to get to work safely & arrive home safe also! We've been in Atlanta for 1 year and a half and have had snow 3 times already :):) I love the snow and the cold weather(most of the time) because I get to bundle up in my scarves and gloves and hats and I get to bundle the girls up too in their cute winter clothes :) Here are a few pictures from the snow/ice:

Gettin in Shape

We joined the gym. We're so excited about getting back into working out this new year. we really enjoy Fitness 19(the gym we joined) and they are very reasonable, and they have lots of good equipment to use, and a childcare. We look forward to getting into shape and being more healthy. May you all(whoever reads this) have a desire to get back into shape or continue staying in shape and living a healthy lifestyle!!!

Out with the old....In with the new

I am happy & sad to report that the car I have been driving since my senior year of high school is no longer ours. After driving it for so many years and putting sooooo many miles on it....we SOLD it. The day we sold it, it had 217,777 miles. It was a GREAT car, we never had any problems with it. We were ready to get rid of it, but also sad at the same time to let such a good car go. We hope Mr. Earl(the guy who purchased it) will get some great use out of it and that his daughter(who Earl bought the car for) will enjoy it as much as I did. We sold it because I wanted a newer car and one that we could travel in other than Terrel's work car...we wanted something we could travel in that has a little more room--which the 4runner did---but we could not travel in it any longer b/c of the miles it already had on it. I will forever remember my 4runner...b/c it has so much sentimental value.

This is my new car. A 2006 Honda Pilot. I ABSOLUTELY love it. It has 3 rows of seats and can hold up to 8 people. It has lots of room and will be so comfortable when we travel places. I'm so happy to have a new car....& so blessed to have a husband with a wonderful job that allows us to not only have the things we need but also the things we want.

15 Months

Carley turned 15 months on Christmas Day(Dec. 25). She had her 15 month checkup on Wed. Jan 6. She is a growin girl :). SHe weighed in at 26 lbs(75-80%). Her height is 31 1/4 inches(25-50%). Her head circumference is 47.6(80%). She is still growing on the same track she's been on since she was born. Doctor C. said she's PERFECT--but we already know that :). She had to do a vision test which she did great on, and she also had to have 3 shots :(--normally she would have only had two, but I had to get them the flu shot. I wasn't going to get them the flu shot because I never have done it for them....but they have wheezed the last two years and ahve had to be on an inhaler so Doctor C said we really needed to get them the flu shot once they are over their wheezing they were doing back in December. Carley and Tegan both had flu shots, and they both did great. Tegan still brings it up every now and then that she had to get a shot at the doctor. Tegan remembers EVERYTHING---so be careful what you tell her or promise her, because she will remember and REMIND you. Both girls are doing great and we're just lovin' life.

Little Ballerina

Tegan has been taking ballet/tap since September and she really enjoys it. SHe loves to go see Miss Neta(her teacher) and her friends in her class. She is really starting to remember how to do everything she learns at class. I was able to catch some pictures and video of her today and glad I did because she did really good today.

Who's Got a Beard That's Long and White??

"Santa's got a beard that's long and white....Who comes around on Christmas night?? Santa comes around on Christmas night!!"

Tegan has been soooo excited about getting to sit in Santa Claus' lap to tell him everything "he wants to bring her"--as she says. She has asked everyday since Thanksgiving, if not before, if we are going to go sit in Santa Claus' lap. She has said everyday the things she is going to ask him for. She has it all rehearsed & told him exactly like she tells anyone else who asks her what Santa Claus is going to bring her. Today was the day we got to sit in Santa's lap(we had to wait b/c I was working on their outfits for their picture with Santa). It was our turn and Tegan runs right up to him and jumps into his lap...she was so excited. Carley was the opposite though--- we placed her on his lap and she went to crying so we picked her up and let Tegan stay and speak with Santa for a minute. I went back to try again with Carley, adn the same, so I sat down and put her in my lap and sat beside Santa...then Terrel came and sat in front and we got a great family picture with Santa!!! We had to do whatever would work so we could have Carley in the picture too....and the only way she was doing it, was if I was holding her! We had a great time and can't wait for Christmas morning to see the girls' faces when they see everything Santa Claus brings them!!

"Thankful" Family Home Evening

On Monday, November 23 we had a special FHE on being thankful. We had a short lesson on how we are supposed to be thankful for things and how Heavenly Father wants us to be grateful. We then made a "Thankful Turkey". I went ahead and made the turkey's body and glued it on paper, then I cut out a bunch of different colored feathers. Each of us got one feather each and wrote something we are thankful for. I cut out enough feathers for the week leading up to Thanksgiving Day, so each day we will write one thing we are grateful for on one of the turkey's feathers. After we did the turkey we hung it up on the wall to be seen all week long. We then took Reese's pieces for our 'dessert' and went around a spoke about the things we are thankful for and why we are thankful for those things. Tegan truly understood what the meaning of our FHE was and she was so cute when we were taking turns with the Reese's pieces saying things we are thankful for. She said "Jesus" the first time around...we then went and said a few other things...and it came back to her on about her 3rd of 4th time and she said "Jesus" again... I told her she already said Jesus, so she then said ummm... "Jesus Christ". It was so cute and so priceless!!!

CARLEY HAD HER 1 YEAR WELL CHILD CHECKUP. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. SHE WEIGS IN AT 23 LBS. 2 OZ AND IS 30 INCHES LONG. SHE IS STILL FOLLOWING THE SAME CURVE SHE'S BEEEN ON SINCE SHE WAS BORN, SO SHE IS GROWING JUST PERFECT.

Tegan had ger first ballet/tap class today. She was so cute with her leotard, tights, and shoes on and her hair in a bun. She was excited about going to ballet. She did pretty good for her first time ever....Miss Neta(the teacher) said they girls did great in tap but not so good in ballet today.... they kept running back and forth during ballet---so they didn't get a sticker... Next week they can try again :) I hope she likes ballet and tap and maybe she'll develop a love for it and want to do it forever!!!

We've been pretty busy lately!!! First, we've been really enjoying our new house.... trying to get it fixed up a little bit at the time. Still trying to get it decorated but I know that's going to take a while to do :):)
The girls are growing up so fast. Tegan has gotten so tall this summer. She can finally pedal her tricycle all by herself....we've got the kind that has the parent handle attached to the back that allows the parent to steer if needed....so she hasn't wanted to pedal but she does now and she loves it!!! She still can't get enough of her baby sister and loves her soo much--- a little too much most of the time---she tries to be soft but doesn't realize she is hurting Carley sometimes with her great big hugs and kisses :):) Carley is now 11 months!!! Wow...this year has really flown by...she will be ONE on Sept 25!!! CRAZY :):) She is now taking about 6-8 steps and when she falls down she can get herself back up without holding onto anything. She always has something that gets in her way (i.e. --TEGAN). We can't wait for her to start walking all on her own.
We're EXTREMELY excited about this time of year b/c the weather is about to get cooler but not too cold.... and it's FOOTBALL SEASON!!!!! We love football season. We love going to and watching the games. It's my favorite time of the year :):) GO DAWGS!!!!

This year for the 4th of July we started our day off up in Cumming at Morgan's parent's house. Terrel helped her dad stain their deck. Morgan and her mom and the girls just hung out and played with the girls. We had fun and had a great lunch of Jim N Nicks BBQ!!! We then made plans to go to Stone Mountain park to see the laser light show and fireworks. It was time to go and Terrel looked online at the website to get the address and up popped a big screen that said PARK IS CLOSED... at 4:00 they closed all the gates to Stone Mountain because the park had reached it's capacity. We were a little bummed, but said there are soo many places around Atlanta doing fireworks, we'll find something else to do....so we decided let's go to the Gwinnett Braves game(since the Atlanta Braves were in Washington). We drove up there, went to eat at Chili's first then headed to the game and got there, and it was SOLD OUT!!! STRIKE 2 for us!!! We decided to go back to the Mall of Georgia area where we saw a bunch of people lining the streets and all to find out what was going on....these people were getting set up to watch the fireworks from the Mall of Georgia and also the Gwinnett Braves...so we decided to just settle there in the parking lot to watch. We got there around 730 or 745 so we had to wait about an hour and a half before they started which was fine. It got to be about 845 and the crowd really started getting there...well up drives a bunch of teenagers who were very rude and turned their music(RAP) up very loud and started dancing doing moves we didn't want our children to see...so we decided to move back in the parking lot.... now the fireworks started but we could barely see them---we were pretty dissappointed--- we jumped in the car and decided to go to the ramp iof the interstate to watch. Everyone else had that same idea....so we couldn't do that...we ended up at a conv. store to watch some of the gwinnett braves fireworks which turned out to be very good :):). Our day didn't go as planned but it ended up being a fun evening and Tegan really enjoyed the fireworks and we were together as a family and that's all that matters :):) We hope you all had a fun and happy 4th too!

Carley turns NINE months

On June 25th 2009 Carley turned 9 months old. She has really changed soo much in her 9 months. She has grown up so fast, I can't believe how fast it's gone by!!! She had her 9 month checkup on Friday July 3. Dr. C can't get enough of her....he loves her to death!!! She weighed in at 21 lbs. 4 oz(75-90%). Her height was 27 3/4 inches(50-75%). She is growing at the same rate that she has been since she was born, so everything is going great for her. Carley's accomplishments since 6 months include:

crawling(8months old)

feeding herself crackers, puffs, etc

saying Da-Da

saying Ma-Ma

saying Bye-Bye

waving Bye-Bye

pulling up on EVERYTHING( 8 months, 1 week old)

cruising on furniture

clapping

playing pat-a-cake

shake her head NO when being asked questions(for fun--doesn't understand what she is saying)

Some fun facts about Carley include: she's a little pool fish...she loves swimming in the pool, we go almost everyday; she loves playing with her big sister and her big sister's fun toys(big sis not so sure of this though); she is an eating machine--she will literally eat everything in site if we would let her; she has FIVE teeth already-- 2 on top , 3 on bottom; she loves our dogs--everytime she sees them she gets so excited and starts yelling(she says AHHH); anytime someone is going somewhere she is right behind them, she follows us everywhere we go; she cries when someone goes out the door if she doesn't get to go; she LOVES to be OUTSIDE; she also loves popsicles(she gets mostly sugar free for now)

There is only one thing we wish she didn't do--- GRIND her teeth---she just started doing this yesterday!! Her sister did it too---we got through it, but it just hurts to hear her do that!!!

Tegan turned three on Saturday, June 6. We had a really fun party and day for her. She had lots of cousins and friends who came to help her celebrate. We had a Little Mermaid/Under the Sea party. We played some games and did a pinata...the kids really had a great time. The biggest hit though was one of the presents my(morgan's) parents got for her. The bought one of those bouncy rooms that has a slide on one side...the kids had a blast in it. All the parents seemed very grateful for the bouncy room because it wore all their kids out, so they all slept very well last night. Thanks to all who came and helped make the party a success for Tegan. Thanks to Nana & Papa for letting us have her party at their house, and thanks to all who drove from so far to attend the party, we really appreciate it.

To Tegan: We are so grateful for you, our sweet girl. You have made these last 3 years so much fun for us. You have taught us so much. You are an example to us and to your baby sister, Carley. She looks up to you so much and watches everything you do. You are such a sweet daughter and we are so blessed to be your parents and to be able to raise you. We've been able to attend a few Braves games this year so far. We've had a great time at each game. Our seats are GREAT!!! We're glad we're so close and we can just take off and go without any plans if we wanted to. We enjoy going to sporting events as a family, and the girls really have a good time. We hope our Braves have a good year this year. We root them on every game and hope for a win each time. Some we win , some we lose. You can't win them all I guess. Carley is 8 months old now. She is such a good baby and is so sweet. She loves her big sister andgrins from ear to ear everytime she sees her. She sleeps at least 12 hours a night(since 4 months). She LOVES her solid foods(can't you tell from the fat rolls?). She says Da-Da, Ma-Ma,and Ba-Ba(bye-bye). She plays pat-a-cake and peek-a-boo. She can go from laying down to sitting up like a champ. She LOVES to jump and bounce especially in her little bouncersaucer toy, she gets so excited. She's been trying to crawl since 6.5 months and finally on her 8 month birthday she took off across the floor, now we can't stop her, she's into everything. Tegan loves being able to play with her, but isn't too fond on sharing all her toys yet(something we're still working on--and will probably always be working on). She is our sweet girl and we love her so much!!

Tegan is such a sweet, spiritual daughter. We were just sitting around watching TV tonight and she walked into the living room with Terrel's scriptures in her hands and said,"Read to me Daddy". It was so sweet how she said it. It's so neat to see things your children have learned from watching what you do. It's just another reminder, that they truly are watching you and learning from you with every move you make.

Today is my sweet husband's birthday. He is the most wonderful father to our girls. They look up to him sooo much. Tegan is such a daddy's girl, she definitely has him wrapped around her little finger. Carley is still pretty much mommy's girl, but she still lights up when daddy comes around. Terrel does so much and sacrifices so much to enable me to stay home with our girls. We love spending our afternoons and weekends with him. He is so good with the girls and loves to play with them. Thank you for all you do for us, Terrel. We love you so much and are so happy you are ours forever!!!

We had a little party once Terrel got home from work, I made him one of his favorite desserts for his birthday 'cake'... Cherry Cream Cheese Pie, then we went to eat at Cheesecake Factory---we got the waitress and other waiters/waitresses to sing Happy Birthday to him and they brought a delicious piece of cheesecake!!!....Tegan really enjoyed having the party for Terrel, she gets so excited!!!

Tegan is such a funny little girl!!! She says some of the funniest things and we have no clue where she gets it from. I am going to start blogging the things she says so we will have a memory of it later in life.

Funny things Tegan says:
*I(Morgan) had a pedicure done yesterday and we were about to head out the door to go to Morgan's parent's house and Terrel touched my foot or something and I replied with, "Please don't mess up my toes." Tegan then says, "It's ok Mommy, I'll take you to Nana's, I promise."
*We were on our way to Morgan's parents house another day, and Tegan said, "Nana's house is terrific"
*We were washing Terrel's car yesterday and Tegan said,"Daddy's new car is terrific" (note: we've had our "new" car since January, but Tegan still calls it Daddy's new car.
*Tonight, Terrel and Tegan laying on the floor and Terrel is laying about an arm length away from Tegan and she keeps telling him, "Daddy, get closer" b/c she wants him to lay right next to her and put his arm around her.
*she also says majority of the time "I'm Daddy's Fweet(sweet) Girl" but sometimes she'll say "Mommy's sweet girl"

Well...I FINALLY finished my first 3 sewing projects.... I actually did a pretty good job considering it was my first time EVER to sew....others may think not....It wasn't really hard to do, just time consuming since I have 2 little ones at home needing my attention. It took a while to do, but I finally finished them... I am very proud of myself if I may say so myself.

Carley is 6 months!! WOW....it has gone by incredibly fast. She is an extremely happy baby(as I write this, she is in her swing crying b/c no one is talking to her) so I guess I better say that about 99% of the time she is very happy. She absolutely LOVES her big sister. Every time Tegan comes in the same room that Carley is in, little Carley's face just lights up with the biggest grin and a bit of excitement comes from her voice. She continues to brighten our lives each day.

She currently weighs in at :

18 lbs 10 ounces (95-97%)

IT IS SO CUTE AND TEGAN LOOKS SOOO GROWN UP NOW. I'M HOPING THIS NEW HAIRCUT WILL MAKE FOR BETTER HAIR FIXING DAYS AND THAT THERE WON'T BE SO MUCH CRYING WHEN IT'S TIME TO FIX HAIR. Yesterday, I walked to our bedroom and thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye, but I went on to our bedroom...when I walked back down the hallway I saw it again!! and I SCREAMED!!!!! it was a BIG, NASTY, UGLY, BROWN, SPIDER, in our kitchen. I grabbed the camera to take a picture of it, then I SMASHED him. I threw the paper towel away that I smashed him with, and then my little Tegan said , and I quote: "Mommy, a yucky spider" to which I reply, "yes, dear, that was a yucky spider"..she said ,"MOMMY!! A YUCKY SPIDER!!" I said there isn't another yucky spider, she said uh huh on the carpet.... so I walked into the living room and sure enough another spider....but this one was small and black, but still yucky. Luckily, the pest control guy was coming yesterday....so I called our main office and thank goodness he hadn't come yet, so he was able to come spray!!! hopefully we don't have anymore spiders for a looong time.

Tegan's Lip

As you all know or have seen in the pictures....Tegan has a Strawberry Hemangioma on her lip. She was born with this. It is a collection of blood vessels. It is not painful to her...unless of course she busts it open. We have gone to a couple of plastic surgeons now and have made a decision to have it removed now instead of later. They say that the hemangioma MAY go away on its own, but it could take 10 years....you never know. We don't want her to have to go to school with this on her lip, so we are having it removed. The plastic surgeon here in Atlanta said he would have removed it when she was about 2 months old because from 2 months to 3 months old the hemangioma grew over her lip line. He said if he would have removed it before it went over the lip line, it would have been an easier removal...not saying he can't do it this way...it just may be a little harder to get her bottom lip line straight. He will be removing it by laser to start with. We will go 3 different times within 3 months. We start next Thursday, March 19. She will have to have some anesthesia, so we are nervous about her having to go through this, but know it will be better in the long run. We will go every 3rd Thursday until May 21. If after the May 21 treatment, it's not gone, then we will schedule another treatment. The doctor said we can do up to 6 treatments, if after the 6th one it's still not all the way gone then they may have to cut the rest out. We're excited and nervous for her at the same time. She doesn't know what's going on, yet....we're going to talk with her to help her understand a little. Just wanted to inform you all with what will be happening and ask that you all pray for her that she won't be scared or in pain after treatment is done.

Valentine's Day is a day set aside to show everyone we care about how much we love them. I love that there is a day set aside for this, but like our Stake President said....EVERYDAY should be Valentine's Day in our lives. I really liked what he told us a couple weeks ago. I think it is sooo true. Everyday should be like Valentine's Day. We should ALWAYS show our loved ones how much they mean to us....this does not always mean we have to go out and buy flowers, balloons, candy, etc. We can do those little things that mean so much. With that being said, we had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Terrel got up earlier than any of us, like he does every morning because he's a wonderful husband who gets up very early to go to work and comes home and plays plays plays with the girls 'til he can't play anymore and then will get up with Carley some nights if she's crying so I can get some sleep, and he went and got us some breakfast---I was going to make some pancakes, but we got home extremely late friday night from the circus and did not have time to go to the store to pick up stuff to make pancakes with, so we settled for fast food--- it was still good. He also surprised me and the girls with balloons, flowers, and candy :). We then spent the day together as a family, no plans, just let the day take it's own direction. We went to Cumming and mom and dad said they would watch the girls for Terrel and me to go out, so we took their offer and had an enjoyable evening together. We went to eat and just strolled around and enjoyed being together. It was a special day, but we will always remember that everyday should be Valentine's Day and we should always show our loved ones how we feel.

Friday night we went to the Circus. It was a lot of fun. Terrel, Tegan, Carley, Morgan's parents, and Morgan's brother, Bryce all went together. We had a wonderful time together. The circus was a lot of fun for everyone. Before the circus we got to go down to the stage area and have an up close and personal experience with some of the circus clowns, and animals, and performers. This was really neat and we got some really good pictures. Tegan really had a fun time seeing all the amazing lights and animals and performers, but I think her favorite part was when her Papa & Nana bought her one of those lights that spin around...she loves that thing.... We love being together and doing things as a family and it's always nice to have the grandparents come along too, to enjoy in the fun of our kiddos and their grandkiddos. Tegan is such a little 'HAM' ...she would get up and dance with the music...and make sure we could see her...she was also so amazed at all the lights most of the night. Carley's eyes were as wide open as they could get looking at all the bright lights....she would fall asleep for about 10-15 mins and wake up because she didn't want to miss anything. It was a great way to start off our wonderful weekend being together.

Well, Tegan and Carley took their first bath together the other night...Tegan absolutely loved having Carley in the tub with her. We were a little hesitant about Tegan splashing her in the face and wanting to play with her in the tub, but she actually did really well. She helped us wash her and get her all cleaned up :). Tegan adores her baby sister and can't get enough of her. She's a great helper to us and love to watch her interact with her baby sister. Carley thinks Tegan is one funny girl, she's always smiling and laughing at her. We love both our girls so much, they are truly a blessing in our lives.

A lady who worked with Terrel in Jacksonville brought this delicious cheese block to their work one day and Terrel absolutely loved it. A few weeks ago we were walking around the store and he remembered it and wanted to fix it. It's the easiest thing to fix and it's very YUMMY!!! It's a block of cream cheese(8 oz) and Italian salad dressing mix. All you do is take the cream cheese and put the dressing mix all over the block and then get Club Crackers or whatever kind of crackers that are similar to that and put the cheese on the crackers. It really is delicious. Here is what it looks like....half eaten

This week has been a great week!!! We started the week off like we do every week just about by having to" clean up clean up everybody everywhere...clean up clean up, everybody do their share"(Tegan sings that song while we do it). Monday night, after Terrel got home from work, we ate dinner and then had FHE(learned about Noah's Ark) and then Terrel had to see what was wrong with our 02 Maxima because Sunday morning it wouldn't crank....so he jumped it off on Monday and it started but it was working really hard to start and turn over.... but it was acting like it did a year ago when we had to replace the computer in the car---which is not something you want to have to pay for AGAIN!!! So, we decided to post the car on craig's list about 7:00 p.m. that night because we were tired of dealing with it and it's problems...and by 9:30 it was sold and out of our hands...... this was a great blessing for us b/c we did not want to have to continue paying for the car if it was going to keep causing us trouble, blah, blah, blah. But you may be wondering...so what are y'all driving since you don't have your maxima anymore???..... Last Tuesday(I think) we purchased an 07 maxima...it's sooo pretty and we got an incredible deal on it and it only had 25K miles on it. We were really excited about the deal so we went ahead and purchased that car....even though we hadn't sold our other one yet. And then the problems started happening with the other so we posted it on craig's list got out of paying for it b/c we sold it for what we owe on it which was not very much, so the guy who got the car got a really good deal on it, but we didn't want to sell him the car for too much knowing that there could be something major wrong with it, but there may not be anything major wrong, we'll never know...and the guy knew that there were some problems with it but he wanted it anyway....the Lord truly blessed us when we needed it the most. So we now have an almosst brand new maxima and the 4runner which I think we'll probably have forever b/c it's never given us any problems and it has 215,000 miles on it :):)
---I(Morgan) have been trying so hard to work out at least 3 times a week. I've been doing a really good job so far, I'm very proud of myself. I really enjoy working out I've just got to keep motivated. I am now running about 2 miles working to get up to 3 and then we'll see from that. I want to be able to run like I used to in high school...i used to run at least 3 miles a day....and I am striving to get back down to my pre-kids weight :):)
---Tuesday, I had to go to the doc(the girlie doc)---no explanation needed here
---Wednesday---CLEANED LIKE CRAZY..WAY TOO COLD TO GO OUT AND DO ANYTHING
---Thursday---went to BIRMINGHAM...had a wonderful time visiting with old friends from church. Enjoyed catching up on everyone and seeing how things were going for everyone. I love these women they are a big part of my life---especially Lisa and Ali---Lisa being my YW leader and my "boss"(i babysat for her ALL the time and LOVE LOVE LOVE HER CUTE KIDS) and Ali being an awesome friend and mom with some dang cute kids. Nancy and Joan are a big part too being they are some of my mom's really good friends---they helped her out a lot in one of her greatest times of need many years ago---I also went to the orthodontist to get my permanent retainer fixed...I haven't seen those people in about 6 years or so they all look the same it was soo good to see them though :):)
---Friday---it's cold outside today, but it's going to be a really nice weekend with highs in the 60's...can't wait to get outside and play play play with the girls. We've got a little cleaning to do, but nothing major just the norm.
---the BEST thing of all---- CARLEY IS SLEEPING ABOUT 12 HOURS AT NIGHT NOW--- YES, FINALLY!!! oh and she can not only roll back to tummy she can now roll tummy to back. She's moving all over the place, she'll roll and then she'll turn herself, she's such a sweetie pie...we love her so much

FOUR MONTHS

Carley had her 4 month checkup yesterday. She was so funny at the appt. I was undressing her so they could check her out and do all her measurements and weight and she just went to laughing out loud. It was sooo dang cute. I wish I would have had it on camera. Her checkup went really well. She is definitely a growing baby. She now weighs: 16 lbs 7 oz. She is 24 1/4 inches long. She is still in the 97% for weight and has dropped to 75% for height. My little baby ain't so little anymore :):) We got the go ahead to start her on cereal and slowly introduce fruits and veggies to her diet. I'm excited about that, I love when they get ready to eat real food......maybe she'll start sleeping better too :):) Her doctor is so wonderful, I hope we never have to find another pediatrician----he is absolutely wonderful. He has a true love for kids, and is so personable. Carley kept giving everyone big ole smiles in the office, everyone loves to see her when we come in. We love, love, love, this little girl. She is so smiley and happy and loves for her big sister to talk and sing to her. Carley is a big bright spot in our lives and keeps us smiling all the time.

This is a special blog for our sweet Tegan. Everyone always ohhs and ahhs when a new baby is around and the older siblings seem to get left out sometimes, so I wanted to do a blog in her honor. She is such a sweet girl, and teaches us so many things that we actually should be teaching her. She NEVER forgets anything, so if we tell her she can have something tomorrow morning, she WILL remember it. For example, the other night it was late and she wanted a snack, but because it was so late we told her after you go to sleep and wake up and eat your breakfast, tehn you can have this snack. Well, as soon as she woke up and ate her breakfast, she remembered that snack and was asking for it again. Because she doesn't forget anything, we have to always be careful what we say.... we might say "Oh Crap" and you better believe she will hear it no matter where she is in the house and she will repeat it and will remember it....but this is all a good thing because it makes us aware of what we say and how we do things. She always remembers that we have to say prayer before we eat and makes sure we have family prayer every night before going to bed--she always wants to say it. She LOVES church...she wants to go to church everyday and go to nursery. She is now in the Senior nursery and her teachers are wonderful...Tegan absolutely loves them. Tegan is our love and we are so grateful and blessed to have her in our life.

A few days after Christmas, my Nanny(my mom's mom), my 2 aunts(mom's sisters) and all my girls cousins came to visit. We had a wonderful visit up at my mom and dad's house. It was so great to see everyone and spend time with them. We haven't been able to get to see each other that often in the past few years, so it was definitely a fun time. My nanny had all her daughters there, all her granddaughters, and there were 4 generations all(Nanny, Mom, Me, Tegan & Carley). I love all my cousins and I hope we can continue to keep in touch through facebook and blogging, etc.

Christmas Day!!!

Well, I am finally getting around to blog about our Christmas. It was a very wonderful Christmas. We were blessed to get to travel to Waycross on Tuesday, Dec. 23 to spend time with Terrel's family and do Christmas present exchange there. On Dec. 24, Christmas eve, we came back home to Atlanta, so we could get ready for Santa to come. Well, I guess Tegan and Carley were both very good girls because Santa brought them so many toys. Tegan had such a great time with all her new toys from Santa. It was really funny on Christmas morning, because I was in the living room getting the video camera set up to video Tegan running in to see what she got....and as soon as I got in there she ran in after me before I was able to get the video going....and when she ran in she said, 'Thankyou Mommy, I love it!!!".. so I told her to run back to the bedroom with Daddy and Carley and then come in when I call you.... so she did, and when I called them back in the living room I had the camera ready and she did the exact same thing....it was definetly priceless. She was so cute and fun on Christmas morning.

Tonight we went down to Atlantic Station to see the huge Christmas tree and all the beautiful lights and all the SNOW!!!!!ok, well it wasn't real snow but it looked like snow---- it was a bubble machine that made really small bubble suds to make it look like snow---. We had a great time and Tegan was sooo excited about the 'snow'. It's such a fun time of year to go do fun things like we got to do tonight. We can't wait for next weekend to see what fun thing we will get to do :):)

Cumming Christmas Parade

We went to the Cumming, GA Christmas Parade today with Mom & Dad. We had a lot of fun and Tegan really had a BLAST!!! This was her first Christmas Parade and she was so excited. It's such a wonderful time of year. There is so much joy and happiness all around. I love this time of year because we get to spend so much time with our family and friends that we don't normally spend time with and most important we get to celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. This Christmas season has so far been wonderful and we look forward to the rest of it and what it may bring.

Carley's checkup

carley's breathing is better.....but she now has an ear infection, poor thing. It's one thing after another. She is still going to take the albuterol for her breathing, but she also has to take amoxicillin too for her ear. All the fluid from her lungs is breaking up and some of it is going into her ears which is causing the ear infection---the doctor said this is very common--. So, we are so grateful that she is getting better and we don't have to take her to the ER for her breathing. We have a strong belief in the power of prayer and how fast it can work sometimes...yesterday's experience was testimony to that.

Christmas time is HERE!!!! We got our TREE!!! YAY!!!! Tegan had a great time going to pick it out. She wasn't too sure of them at first with the prickly branches, but it doesn't bother her now. We wanted to go to a Christmas Tree farm up here in Atlanta somewhere, but with the girls getting sick, we decided to just go to Lowe's and get one---which is where we've gotten ours for the past 5 years since we got married. We loved our tree at the store, but we didn't like our tree when we got it home, we were both disappointed with is, but Terrel trimmed the bottom a little more than the store did and it looks great now. We love this time of year as we have to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We also love the time we have to spend with our family and friends.

TWO MONTHS

Carley turned 2 months on November 25. Her two month checkup was on december 2. She now weighs 13 lbs 8.5 oz(97%) 23.5 inches(95%). She gaines 2 pounds 3.5 ounces in 1 month. She's growing like a weed. It's gone by so fast. At her two month checkup I also took Tegan in because she has been coughing really bad. They put her on Albuterol which is medicine that people with asthma may take. The doctor also found a murmur in her heart, but he said no big deal right now, and they'll keep checking it. Carley was a little congested at her appt. but the doc said she sounds ok but just to keep watching her and listening, well we did, and we took her back today 12/3/08 and she is now having to take the Albuterol also. They gave her a breathing treatment at the doctor's office then checked her oxygen level and it was low, so they waited about 10-15 mins and came back. In that 10-15 mins. we were praying so hard that her little body and little lungs would strengthen to get a higher oxygen level, and our Heavenly Father answered our prayers immediately because as soon as they tested her level went from 88 to 93. It needs to be as close to 100 as possible and they take anything over 92, so we are so grateful that it got higher because if it had stayed below 92 she would have been taken to the ER for tests to make sure she doesn't have RSV. So for now she is just on Albuterol every 4 hours for 3 days, and Tegan is on albuterol she takes 2 puffs 3 times a day for a week. This is a very scary time for our family, but we know that our Heavenly Father will watch over us and help us have strength to get through this and we know our girls are so strong that they can overcome their little illnesses.

12:30 A.M. on Friday, November 28...... my mom, Tegan, and Carley headed to Northpoint Mall in Alpharetta, GA to go shopping. What a blast we had--and I am not being sarcastic--. It started out rough for Tegan because she had already fallen asleep at the house then we got her up to get in the car....but after about 30 minutes of fighting to go back to sleep she finally dozed off and slept the entire time we were there. Mom and I shopped and shopped all day until lunch....boy were our feet hurting. The girls did awesome though, like I said Tegan slept all day until about 11:30 and Carley of course slept a lot. We can't wait for next year to hopefully do it again!!!

A Quarter of A Century

November 10, 2008 marked a milestone in Morgan's life. It was her 25th birthday!!! She had a wonderful day, as she got to go shopping with her mom and 2 girls. Terrel had to be out of town from saturday the 8th through thursday the 13th so he wasn't able to be here and was very upset he wasn't able to be here with me. He took me out Friday night to one of my fav restaurants JAlexanders and to get ice cream at Cold Stone.Then on Saturday night, my parents and brother, Bryce, and I went to eat at Houston's here in Atlanta...it was REALLY good!!! When we got back to our apt. on Friday night, my parents and brother, Bryce, Tegan, and Carley were there to surprise me with a party. Boy was I surprised!!! They totally caught me off guard. It was a fun party. Tegan loved it the most :):)

On November 2, 2008 Carley was blessed at church by Terrel. Standing in the circle were my dad, my brother, Bryce, and 2 members of the bishopric. This was such a special day for our family, as this is just the start of many wonderful things to come for Carley as well as the rest of us. Thank you to my Nanny(Carley & Tegan's great-grandma) and my cousin Whitney for making the effort to come up for this special day. Happy Halloween 2008!! We went trick-or-treating tonight with some friends from church who invited us to go....thanks Jen and James!!! We had a great time, and the neighborhood we went in was AMAZING!!!!! The people who live in this neighborhood decorate their houses for Halloween more than they do for Christmas.... there were thousands of people trick-or-treating in this one neighborhood. People were parked for miles away and there were cops directing traffic, etc. Tegan had a blast and was so stinkin' cute in her duck costume. Terrel & I were able to take Tegan by herself and spend some quality time with just her....thanks Mom & Dad for keeping Carley. We had a blast and hope you all had a very safe and happy Halloween as well!!!

My dad's birthday was October 22. He turned the BIG 50!!! We took him to brunch the day before b/c he was going to be out of town on his actual birthday. We went to the GA Aquarium again..but this time Terrel went too!!! Tegan had an extremely good time again and we were so happy to enjoy a fun day as a family!!! It's so fun to see Tegan's face when she sees something so exciting... it makes us so happy to see her so happy and enjoying herself. We wanted to spend the day and do something fun for Tegan, b/c she was having a little bit of a hard time adjusting to Carley, so we took her to the aquarium. We had a great time and can't wait to go back again!!!

One Month!!

Carley is now a month old. She is getting so big, so fast. Her little legs are really filling out. She is a very good baby, she sleeps really well(thank goodness) :):) Tegan is really loving her, and wants to hold her a lot. This month has gone by really really fast, we've really enjoyed ourselves in Atlanta so far and look forward to being here for a long time. Tegan and Carley keep us on our feet constantly....there's never a dull moment in our house. Tegan's "2's" are really coming out now, but we get through each day---some days easier than others. She is a very sweet big sister and can be a lot of help most of the time. Parenting to 1 is a lot different than parenting to 2, but we wouldn't change it for the world. It is a wonderful blessing to know our Heavenly Father trusts us to be parents, and we are so very grateful that He has given us two healthy beautiful girls to love and teach and be an example to.

We are finally moved to Atlanta. We've been here for over a week, but we are finally in our new apartment. We are really excited. We love it so far. We stayed at Morgan's parent's for the first week, which was nice to have that help with Tegan, as Morgan is getting so far along in her pregnancy. Terrel is loving his job as an Outside Sales Rep. He has to get up really early to get to work by 7:30, but it is all worth it. Morgan is stil pregnant....almost 38 weeks.....we hope this baby comes SOON!!! She was able to find a good doctor up here and we are really excited for this new little one to come. Tegan's world has been totally rocked. Her Nana(Morgan's mom) was in JAX for our last week there helping pack up things, etc. Then we all left the same day which was Thursday, Sept 11.. and Terrel, Morgan, & Tegan went to Waycross, GA--where Terrel's fam lives--- and we spent the day there, then left Friday the 12th and came up to Atlanta to stay with Morgan's parents.....Tegan has had lots of granparent loving for the past several weeks, which we wouldn't change for anything. We stayed at Morgan's parents for a week, and then Fri. and Sat. Sept 19 & 20 we moved into our new apartment, which for now is across from where Morgan's parents live(they are in temporary corporate housing---until they find a house to buy). I think poor little Tegan is so confused of where to sleep, who's car to ride in, etc. etc. We've had soo much going on, we are all exhausted, so we're happy to start getting settled in. Just as soon as we get settled, her little world will be rocked again by a new baby. We know she'll be fine, but we just feel bad for her having soo much going on in her little life at such a hard age(2). 5 YEARS!!!

WOW!! SEPTEMBER 6, 2008 WAS A MILESTONE IN OUR MARRIAGE...WE CELEBRATED OUR 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. IT HAS GONE BY SO FAST. WE WERE ABLE TO GO BACK DOWN TO ORLANDO AND STAY IN THE SAME PLACE WE STAYED IN WHEN WE WENT DOWN FOR OUR HONEYMOON. IT WAS SO NICE TO GO BACK TO A PLACE WHERE WE BEGAN OUR LIVES TOGETHER. WE STARTED THE DAY OUT BY GOING TO THE ORLANDO TEMPLE. IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AS IT ALWAYS IS. WE THEN WENT TO OUR HOTEL AND RELAXED AND THEN WENT SWIMMING, AND TERREL TAUGHT ME HOW TO PLAY CHESS ON THE LIFESIZE CHESS BOARD OUT BY THE POOL. WE WANTED TO GO TO DINNER SOMEWHERE WE HAD NEVER EATEN AT..... WE FOUND 3 PLACES TO CHOOSE FROM..... BUT AS WE SEARCHED FOR THEM ON OUR GPS, IT DID NOT GET US ANYWHERE.....SO WE HAD AN ADVENTURE SEARCHING FOR A PLACE TO EAT, AND AFTER ABOUT 30-45 MINUTES OF DRIVING AROUND, WE ENDED UP EATING AT OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE WHICH WE BOTH LOVE, BUT IT WASN'T SOMEPLACE NEW, OH WELL.....IT WAS STILL DELICIOUS!!!! WE THEN WENT BACK TO OUR HOTEL AND CALLED IT A NIGHT, WE WERE SO TIRED FROM TRAVELING AND SWIMMING. WE WERE ABLE TO SLEEP IN UNTIL 9 SUNDAY MORNING, WHICH WE HAVEN'T DONE IN FOREVER, SINCE WE HAVE A LITTLE ONE....BUT THANK YOU TO MORGAN'S MOM FOR COMING TO KEEP TEGAN FOR US TO GO DOWN TO ORLANDO, TO ENJOY SOME TIME TOGETHER AS A COUPLE, WE WERE ABLE TO DO SO. WE GOT UP SUNDAY MORNING AND WENT FOR A WALK AROUND THE POOL AREA AND TOOK SOME PICTURES THEN HEADED HOME. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME TOGETHER REMINISCING ON OUR 5 YEARS TOGETHER. WE LOVED HAVING SOME QUIET TIME, ESPECIALLY BEFORE OUR 2ND LITTLE ONE COMES ALONG. IT WAS NICE TO GET AWAY FOR A NIGHT, BUT IT'S ALWAYS NICE TO COME HOME TOO!!!!

Reason being, Morgan's due date is Oct 8 and we didn't want to wait so late that she went into labor while we were trying to move. Hey guys!! Just wanted to let everyone know that Terrel got promoted with his company and we are moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Our move date is Oct. 1. We are so very excited about this promotion and move b/c it's something we've been waiting on for a long time. We've had a great time and experience in Jacksonville and will miss the friends we have , but we knew when we moved to Jax that it would only be for a short period. I am so proud of Terrel and for the hard work he has put into his work to enable us to make this move. We can't wait to get to Atlanta to experience new things and enjoy new things. I've been meaning to write this for a couple of weeks....but I've been busy doing other things. Tegan is a 'big girl' now. She is potty trained!!! YAY!! She did so good at training too and did it pretty fast. It only took her a few days to get a hang of it. We're so proud of her, and even more excited that we only have to buy one set of diapers once the new baby comes instead of buying diapers for two :):) She gets so excited when she goes pee-pee in the potty(mommy or daddy have to get excited too when she goes). **Now if we can just get her to sleep all night in her 'big girl' bed, then we'll be good to go(we're working on this one)**

Trip to Atlanta

We were able to travel to Atlanta last Wednesday, July 16, to stay up there with my parents and brother while Terrel went to Denver on business. My parents are in the process of moving to Atlanta so we all met up there for the weekend. We all had a great time. Tegan adores her Nana and Papa and Uncle Bryce. She has so much fun with them and constantly asks about them when we're not with them. It's always call Nana, call Papa....or where's Nana? where's Papa? We wouldn't have it any other way :):) We had a fun time in Atlanta. We looked around at houses one day with my parents and Friday we went to the Georgia Aquarium. The aquarium is amazing. It's so big and there's so much to see and do. The only downfall to it was how crowded it was.... it was almost like being at Six Flags it was so crowded. We had a blast though and Tegan enjoyed the fish and other animals so much. We can't wait to go back and visit again!!!!
